What
is the purpose of your life?
What
is the meaning of it all?
If you
have asked these two cosmic questions in your life, you are not
alone. They are the questions that started me looking for the purpose
and meaning of my life. It took over twenty years to answer both
questions but I have answered them and the answer to both questions
is the same.
The purpose
and meaning of my life and your life is to live in joy and love
and have relationships and work where we share our love and joy
with others. Sounds good doesn't it; so how do you do it?
When I
was searching for these answers I discovered a process that revealed
there was a design, a life plan for me. It wasn't a destiny or something
I had to be and follow. It was a powerful potential grounded in
unlimited possibilities. All I had to do was know the plan and choose
to follow it. If I didn't know the plan, I would be guided by my
ego-mind instead. And my ego-mind did guide my life until I discovered
my intended life plan. That changed everything from where I lived,
to what I did, and especially how I did it all - it revealed my
true self.
Now I live
every day with my life plan as my guide. Every decision, every use
of my time and energy, and every experience is guided by my plan
- it is my compass! You can do the same, but you have to explore
and discover your life plan to know your true self.
This is
why I wrote this book. It is my gift to you, to save you twenty
years or more of searching for the answers to the two questions
above. I have put the process I discovered and used in the pages
of a book that you can read and most importantly DO! It will take
some time, but it won't take twenty years.
It took
me a long time to see how the process worked and fit together and
I didn't do it alone. There were hundreds of people who mentored,
guided me, and showed me the process. Most of them were my life
coaching clients who explored the process, followed it, discovered
their plan and put it into action. Through their efforts I learned
what worked in the process and what didn't. I learned the questions
to ask and especially how to recognize the answers and use them.
Eventually the process clicked into place, the effective questions
were found, and the way of putting it all together revealed. These
wonderful people who so patiently helped me do this have affirmed
this powerful process in how they created businesses, careers, relationships,
experiences, and made choices that have changed and continue to
change the world. You can too.
Before I met Coach
Jane I was struggling to be happy in a very successful legal career,
but it was like wearing the wrong size shoes. Working with Coach
Jane gave me the clarity, the vision and the guidance I needed
to spread my wings. There was an empire brewing in my soul and
I didnt even know it.

Your life
plan, your compass, wants to reveal itself to you. Your plan wants
to be known, more importantly your plan wants to guide you. Don't
you want to have your days full of love and joy and to be able to
share it with the world through your daily choices, work, and relationships?
Amazingly, you will share your joy and love easily, without struggle,
striving, or without pain and suffering. When you know your plan,
you will know who you were intended to be, what you were intended
to do, and the difference you were intended to make in the world.
You will know peace, passion, and focus.
Your life
have a powerful and unique purpose and meaning. Don't wait until
you can't stand it anymore, are sick (this happened to me), or miserable;
find out now. It will be worth it. I know it was for me. I only
wish I had known this process twenty years ago, but I am so grateful
I know it now and I want to share it with you.
The
Components of Your Life Plan
Your life
plan has six components, none of which is unique to you, but together
completely unique to you. They include:
Life Vision - the message you are to share with the world.
Life Purpose - who you are to be to express and share
your vision.
Life Mission - what you are to do for other people
to know and experience your vision.
Personal Gifts - specific ways of seeing and experiencing
that make it easy for you to express your purpose.
Personal Standards - guidelines for making choices and
behaving that align you with your purpose.
Ego-Mind - This last component of your life plan is the guide
for your life when you don't know or are not following the rest
of your life plan. Unaware of other five components, the ego-mind
provides a back-up or default plan focused on survival by defending
and protecting a false identity and reality. It seems real but it
isn't. When you follow the ego-mind's plan your choices and behaviors
are driven by the tools of the ego-mind, the egoic needs. These
needs want whatever is necessary to confirm the false identity and
reality for who you are, what you have and own, and what will make
you feel better and they drive your responses and behaviors using
fear. Such fear cannot lead to love and joy, it can only keep you
from them by limiting you and keeping you striving, searching, and
overcoming what life presents you.
Contrast
the plan of the ego-mind with your life plan for the real you to
live in love and joy and to share your love and joy with others.
The real you is passionate to serve others and to do what is "best"
and "right" for you and the world. Such passion and choices
match a Promise made to you. That promise is that if you
will be who you are by following your plan and using your personal
wisdom, the interactions, experiences, and resources for you to
abundantly live in joy and love will be provided in abundance.
Now that's a promise!
There
is a process for exploring, discovering and knowing your life plan.
The
Guide: Knowing the Plan for Your Life walks you through your
life plan by revealing each component of your plan and showing you
their profound interrelationship. All the concepts, exercises, and
tips for following the plan are included on the pages of the book
as they are needed for you to discover each component. When you
complete the book, you will have the framework for your plan. Use
that framework as your compass and start living the life it directs
you to live. The more you follow your plan the easier it gets to
follow, the more you discover, and the more abundance you attract.
Best
of all, your plan is so succinct it will fit on a 3x5 card. And
the plan is so powerful, you will know what to choose, do, and be
at all times. There is nothing you can experience that your plan
will not guide you to or away from.
